These milestones, reflecting a holistic and inclusive approach, led the AFC Grassroots Committee to rank Iran at the Gold Level, recognizing it as one of the continent’s top grassroots systems.
In an official letter to the FFIRI, AFC General Secretary Datuk Windsor John praised Iran’s accomplishments and affirmed AFC’s continued support for the program:
“We are pleased to inform you that your application for AFC Grassroots Charter – Gold Level Membership has been approved by the AFC Grassroots Panel. We look forward to continued updates on Iran's grassroots progress and express our full support for your efforts.”
This recognition represents a major milestone for Iranian football and underscores the federation’s commitment to sustainable development, inclusivity, and long-term success through a solid foundation at the youth and amateur levels.
